mousesports EPS XII champions

Twelfth EPS season in Germany should have its finals this weekend in Cologne. The expected overall final between mousesports and Alternate did not happen as n!faculty played too strong.

For a long time, mousesports and Alternate should be the two fighting out, who should take home the EPS trophy. However, the expected final between the two, did not happen this season. Both mousesports and Alternate had to catch up with a bad start of the season. mousesports managed to end the regular season in first place with 10-2-2. Alternate managed to climb to the third place with 10-0-4. Placing above Alternate should be n!faculty, who have been delivering impressive results since season start.

Alternate and n!faculty should face each other in the first round of the EPS finals bracket. On de_nuke n!faculty managed to surprise both Alternate, but also their fans, when defeating Alternate 16-11. Next up should be mousesports on de_cbble. Many predicted that the failure of Alternate, would mean mousesports could grab the gold. n!faculty wanted it different. Defeating Extreme Masters II champions with 16-8 and would advance to the grand final.

Alternate and mousesports would be the two teams to fight for the last spot in the grand final, when the two meet in the consolidation final. de_train should be the ground the fight should be played on. Alternate started off best and mousesports really had a hard time. Alternate secured 10-5 as CT and mousesports turn to defend. The play-domination totally flipped. Alternate did however manage to gather 15 rounds and mousesports should be chasing the last 3 they needed. mousesports did got the needed 3 rounds and match should be settled in overtime. Alternate started the overtime best, taking home first half 3-2 as T. mousesports reacted with 4 rounds in a row, winning the overtime 6-3.

Consolidation Final

Season final should then be between n!faculty and mousesports. mousesports needed to win two maps, as they came from lower bracket, while n!faculty only needed to win one map.
Classic EPS Germany map, de_tuscan should be the opener in this grand final. As T mousesports took off with a big lead. n!faculty managed to turn a rounds in their favour, but mousesports took first half 12-3. As CT mousesports quickly took a few unique rounds and the win came fairly close. But then n!faculty started to open up the mousesports defence. Going all the way to the 29th round before mousesports could nail the last round to secure a 16-13 win on de_tuscan.

Last map to determine who should bring home the EPS XII trophy should be de_inferno. If n!faculty forgot how to play de_inferno or mousesports just dominiating them badly, should be for the user to decide. With a 13-2 win as CT and three quick rounds a T, mousesports could put their hands up and celebrate the victory.
